Washington County 4H Youth win Silver Medals at National matches

Team PA small-bore rifle took home the SILVER Medal in the overall 3 day competition at the 4H National matches at Grand Island, Nebraska this summer. With 24 state teams (77 individuals) participating in the small-bore rifle event, Frazier Simplex's Zachary Nicollella won the overall individual SILVER Medal for this event. Anthony Schidanno from Mifflin County, PA placed 6th overall.

In air rifle, Team PA placed 9th overall with 23 States participating. Grace Lengauer was the highest placing individual PA competitor to take home 11th place overall.

Team Pennsylvania has made the trip to the 4H Nationals 7 times and has taken home GOLD medals in the NRA 3 position small-bore competitions 5 times and SILVER medals the other two times. This year, 14 youth competitors from PA attended the event participating in small-bore rifle, air rifle, air pistol, shotgun and archery. This trip is funded by individual fundraising and donations from the NRA Foundation and Sportsman's Clubs from around the state. This year, a sizable donation was given by the Claysville Sportsman's club. Thank you!!
