On June 22-26, 2015, the National Three Position Air Rifle Championships will be held at the Civilian Marksmanship Program's (CMP) Competition Center South range in Anniston, Alabama.
Of the 27 precision air rifle teams invited to this prestigious event, seven of them are from Pennsylvania. This represents 26% of the precision teams invited to this 3rd annual event. It also goes to prove that Pennsylvania has a great program to continue feeding our NCAA D1 colleges and possible Olympians.
Congratulations to the six clubs that make up the seven precision teams. The clubs represented are:
DuBois
Frazier Simplex (2 teams)
Oil City
Ontelaunee
Palmyra
Seitzland
Also, congratulations to Amanda Ruffner who was invited to compete as an individual from the Alexandria club.

Frazier foursome at the Dixie Double
Four of Frazier Simplex's junior shooters traveled to Anniston, Alabama for the annual Dixie Double. This was a two day, international air rifle competition where each competitor shoots 60 shots offhand each of the two days. Because they use decimal scoring for this type of competition, a perfect score is a 654. The best competitors shoot in the 610 to the 625 range. Also different in this competition is how the final is run. In this final, every competitor that qualifies will start out at zero, making it easier for even the last place qualifier to win the competition.
Representing Frazier Simplex was, Christopher Thomas, Thomas Welch, Mackenzie Wagner and John Paul Grabowski. Many of them shot their personal best during this competition.
